The B+B calibration laboratory is accredited by the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) according to DIN EN 17025 for the calibration of resistance thermometers, thermocouples and hygrometers.
In a calibration the difference between a measured value and the true, correct value of the measurement is indicated . This is unknown, but is within the range of the specified uncertainty of measurement. The result of the calibration is documented in a calibration certificate.
Each measuring instrument ages and drifts due to environmental influences or its use. Regular calibrations show the behavior of the measuring instrument and maximize the safety of its use. The process of the calibration thus contributes to the quality assurance and ensures that rejects, rework and replacement claims can be reduced or even avoided. Therefore the B + B calibration service increases the manufacturer's quality greatly.
