The N1200 HC is a universal PID process controller. Beside the standard temperature sensors, such as Pt100 and thermocouples, it also accepts analogue inputs 0…10 V, 0…5 V, 0...50 mV, and 0(4)...20 mA. It is equipped with four physical ouputs. Two outputs can be configured as simultaneous control outputs for heating and cooling circuits. Every control output (heating/ refrigeration) has its own independent PID parameters.
The remaining outputs can be separately configured as alarms. The user can choose between five different functions for each alarm. Over an additional output the process variable or the set point can be remotely transmitted as 0(4)...20 mA signal to other devices. The ramp &soak programs can be configured with up to 180 time segments. Both cooling and heating circuits can use the auto tune and auto adaptive facility to optimise the PID control parameters.
The configuration of the controller may be done either via the front program keys or via the integrated USB interface and the NConfig software. These and many other features elevate the N1200 HC universal process controller to a real breakthrough in versatility for holding in one single instrument the major features which are needed in the vast majority of industrial processes.
